1,220 delegates responded comprising 420 from China, Hong Kong, USA, Canada, Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan and the rest were locals including 250 Chinese pastors and full-time workers. Bro Hugo Chan and Andrew Chang both of Hong Kong, Bro Tong Tseng of Taiwan and Rev Oh Beng Khee of Singapore ministered to the Convention delegates.

Given the mandate and after much prayer, on 5th to 8th Aug., FGBMF Malaysia (led by Bro Tan Tek Seng and his team) organised the 1st Asian Chinese Convention at Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel with the theme, ‘NEW MILLENNIUM, NEW LIFE’. It was a great success, FGBMF Malaysia BOLEH – God’s way.

Over 700 people accepted Jesus as their personal saviour through the Outreach Banquet at Seremban, Opening Banquet and Night Rally. Praise the Lord, Hallelujah, Glory to Jesus!

Arrival of overseas delegates

A free-will offering was taken and later disbursed to bless, help and support various Christian works in the country.

At the Convention, the Holy Spirit touched and imparted a special bond of brotherly love and also conferred a passion for the Chinese work in Asia into the hearts of all FGBMF leaders. The torch has been lighted in Malaysia and the 'fire of revival’ has begun.All Glory to God!
