Special Tributes

The late Dr J S Devaraj went to be with the Lord on 16th Oct 1999. He fought a good fight, finished the race, kept the faith and left behind a legacy. In memory of our beloved brother, we append below the following tributes:

We remember him as a man:

1.

Dr Peter Tong, National President
who is a true saint of God, faithful and meek and literally died serving God.

2.

Bro Loh Poh Seng, Northern Regional Director
whose heart is sold out to Jesus as could be evidenced by the fact that he wouldnever say no to any invitation to preach the Word of God – it was God’s power which totally transformed Bro Devaraj from a Christian whose experiences with God were merely in occupying some important posts in the Church and denomination hierarchy to one who believed as the Apostle Paul put it “to live is Christ and to die is gain” – who has a special burden to see more Indian chapters set up in the country.

3.

Bro Lee Gee Koon, Central Regional Director
of faithfulness, integrity and commitment.

4.

Bro.Johnny Tan, Sarawak Regional Director
of great love for Jesus, eager to serve Christ and faithful to God’s calling.

5.

Bro Samuel Tan, Southern Regional Director
of untiring devotion to God’s calling, genuine love for the Unsaved and meticulous man with a penchant for orderliness.

6.

Dr David Fung, Sabah Regional Director
of faith and faithfulness in all things big and small: faith enough to believe in God to accomplish the extraordinary, faithfulness exemplary to attend to the tedious and mundane of the ordinary everyday – wholehearted singular commitment to the cause he had been called to do, for which we in the FGBMF are the grateful beneficiaries – conviction and belief in the power of every FGBMF man a minister of Christ’s power, following which belief he encouraged us to stand up, come forward and be of use of God.

7.

Rev Canon Dr James Wong
who gave great encouragement and guidance to the leaders, members and friends and many in the market place whose encounter with the Living Christ, testify to the spiritual input into their lives through the godly example of our Bro Devaraj.

8.

Sis Amy Beh
full of compassion and love for the lost souls and the sick, full of faith in the Living God and full of the Spirit and wisdom of God.

The family of the late Uncle Devaraj kindly requests your presence at a Thanksgiving Service on Sun. 29th Oct at 6.30 pm at St. Paul’s Church, Petaling Jaya.
