FGBMF brothers in Penang on 16th Dec. mobilised brothers from other regions to join them and other Penang Christians in a 4.5km “March for Jesus” event. The March was part of the Penang Christmas 2000 Parade Celebration organised in conjunction with the Penang State government. A total of 7,200 Christians participated in the island’s biggest ever Christmas parade and took to the streets of Georgetown in a colourful parade to spread the Joy of Christmas and to declare the theme “Jesus, The Light of the World.”

The FGBMF contingent was comparatively small but vocal especially in Mandarin. Those who attended have decided they would attend the annual parade in greater numbers in future. Many said that the Lord’s pleasure in the event was manifested in the form of a full arched rainbow which lasted for more than half an hour. The people of Penang were blessed to have witnessed such a grand parade. Earnestly pray that the beginning of a fiery revival will start in Penang and spread all over Malaysia. With God, nothing is impossible. To God be the Glory for great things He has done.

FGBMF work in Northern Peninsular Malaysia started in 1980 pioneered by brothers such as Dr Joy Seevaratnam, Bro Loh Poh Seng and others. There were ups and downs in the early days but God’s work, done in God’s way had God’s supply. Work prospered and new Chapters were added. In 1992 the first Chinese FGBMF Chapter in Malaysia was inducted and today there are a total of 15 Chapters in the Northern Region.

Recently, an evangelistic and healing crusade led by Rev. Roy Durman was held over 3 evenings from 10-12th Nov 2000 in Sitiawan, Perak and more than 100 people came to know the Lord. As intercessors from Sitiawan and Telok Intan FGBMF Chapters prayed, attendance at the meeting grew and the number responding to the altar calls increased. People from as far as Teluk Intan, Pulau Pangkor and Pantai Remis flocked to the meeting. Many miracles were witnessed with the dumb speaking, the deaf hearing and many ailments just vanishing. Praise the miracle-working Lord.

Similar meetings were held in Ipoh from 17-19th Nov. where the crusade was organised by the combined efforts of Ipoh, Kinta and Tasik Chapters. A woman who had tumours in both breasts was healed … the tumors disappeared while being prayed for. An elderly man suffering from double hernia and cataract was healed. Others suffering from other ailments were touched in some way and a total of 150 people responded to the call for salvation. Truly, the Son of God was manifested so that He might destroy the works of the devil.
