Two devoted brothers (Albert Li and Franklin Morais) did a prayer walk around the market area in Taman Tun, praying earnestly for God’s providence of a suitable place and to stir brothers to form a new FGBMF Chapter there.

That was in 1992 and now nine years later, we can truly thank God for the great things He had done through the Taman Tun Chapter. The Lord had placed in the hearts of committee members, comprising of 10 members, passion and compassion for lost souls. Many souls were added into the Kingdom of God through evangelistic banquets in restaurants and hotels. Some were saved during lunchtime Chapter meetings.

A Christmas Lunchtime Fellowship

The evidence of God’s presence were tremendous. Praise the Lord for signs and wonders like healing of a fourth stage cancer case, deliverance of gambling bondage, bad habits and many other forms of oppression.

Team members were sent to share on Sundays in two churches in the Klang Valley. Mission trips were organised to FGBMF Rawang and Kuantan. In Kuantan, three committee members shared their testimonies during an evangelistic dinner function – an attempt to help revive the Kuantan Chapter.

KL Brickfields Chapter, once inactive, was reactivated with the help and dedication of committee members from the Taman Tun Chapter.

In 1999, together with PJ New Town Chapter they birthed PJ CP Tower (Eastin Hotel) Chapter. This new chapter (meets every Friday for fellowship and Wednesday for prayer meeting) is vibrant and growing with many souls saved. Special outreach evangelistic meetings were organised during Christmas, Chinese New Year and Easter. During the CP Tower Christmas 2000 Lunch Celebration, more than 200 people came and many were unbelievers from the neighbouring offices.

Recently, the KL Brickfields and Taman Tun Chapters were instrumental in organising a combined overnight prayer retreat (every two months) with other PJ chapters at Glory Place, Mantin. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, praise, worship, testimonies and the hearing of God’s word shared by Ps Jean Lim. It was an invigorating heaven-on-earth experience.

Besides the normal Tuesday Chapter meeting and fellowship, members meet in homes to get to know each other’s spouses and children. The Lord is good and has blessed us with six worship leaders! All of them play their own musical instruments when conducting praise and worship.

The Chapter has, together with PJ CP Tower Chapter, they have started lunch meetings in Mont Kiara, KL. With the Lord’s help Taman Tun would soon birth more Chapters.

Great is Thy Faithfulness – all we have needed Thy hands have provided. Great is Thy Faithfulness Lord unto Taman Tun Chapter!
