On 26 March as a function to
complement one another, the Alor Setar Chapter met and had a wonderful time of
fellowship with pastors from five local churches over a luncheon meeting. Pray
that all Chapters will participate and organize such unity fellowship on a more
regular basis.
On 31 March, 76 brothers of the
Central Region comprising Group Co-ordinators, Field Reps, Chapter Presidents
and Chapter Committee members met for a Hi-Tea Fellowship meeting. Bro. James
Kui gave an exhortation on FGBMF’s vision and
mission.

As some are not fully aware of
the vision, we append below the FGBMFI’s vision statement:
Our vision for
the fellowship is based upon a series of prophetic messages given over a period
of time and confirmed by a literal vision from
God.
In the vision,
untold masses of men from every continent and nation, of all races and diverse
culture and costume, once spiritually dead, are now alive. Delivered and
set free, they are filled with power of God’s Holy Spirit, faces radiant with
glory, hands raised and voice lifting their praises to
heaven.
We see a vast
global movement of laymen being used mightily by God to bring in this last great
harvest through the outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit before the return of our
Lord Jesus Christ.

At the APC in October
2000 the Central Region Board deliberated on eight issues, which will have an
impact on the strategic direction of the Fellowship. Call the National
Office for a detailed copy. The summary is as follows:
| 1. |
Chapters to continue
with the present lunchtime meeting format but always keeping in focus our
six-fold mission statement. |
| 2. |
New chapters (as in new Chinese
Chapters) are encouraged to start off on a “men only” basis. However, we
recognize and accept the effectiveness of the existing mixed
chapters. |
| 3. |
All Chapters are required to organize regular “men only” prayer
meetings at least once a month. |
| 4. |
Chapters are encouraged to invite
our own FGBMF brothers or laymen as speakers. |
| 5. |
Each of the 15 groups in the
Central Region, except for the Chinese group, is required to organize a banquet
at least once a year. The Chinese group is already committed to one
banquet every two months. |
| 6. |
Group Coordinators are to work at
building up a close rapport with the Chapter’s leadership and to encourage
attendance at regional gatherings and seminars. |
| 7. |
All men attending our fellowship
meetings are to be encouraged to join as members. |
| 8. |
Our Tamil speaking brothers are
to work at setting up the first Tamil chapter in the Central
Region. |
KL Hilton Chapter is now called
KL Mutiara Chapter with immediate effect as KL Hilton Hotel has been renamed as
Mutiara Hotel.
|
KL Pandan Indah Chapter has
changed their lunch hour meeting to “Happy Hour Meeting” at 6pm – 7pm. Call Bro
Caleb Chow 012-217 4455 for more details.
In February, flowing with the
paradigm shift, about 20 FGBMF brothers and their spouses led by Dr Peter Tong
enrolled in a eight-lesson Level 1 Good News Mandarin course. The course was
initiated by Bro Philip Chieng. Having been charged up after the first course,
all are now geared for Level 2 to start soon. Zan Mei Zhu, Ha Li Lu Ya!
