"Topping-UP" Prayer
Sanctified Building Joins KL Skyline!

With bright yellow safety helmets perched on their heads, the FGBMF brothers boarded the cage of the construction elevator at the side of the building. Alighting at the top floor, they walked up two more flights of stairs to get to the rooftop. There, the noonday sun radiated fiercely.

This was no site inspection. The brothers were neither architects nor surveyors. Led by National Board President, Bro Dr Peter Tong, and Central Region Deputy Director, Bro Wong Hong Meng, the group was there for an equally important reason: they had been invited by the building's God-fearing owner, Bro William Goei, to jointly officiate at the topping-up ceremony of 38 Bedara Condo and to dedicate it to Him.

The "topping-up" of a building is when the last few bricks are cemented in place. After this, the finishing work begins and continues until the building is ready for occupancy. The entire Goei family, and some members from as far as London, were present to participate in the event, along with staff of the Goldhill group.

Amidst refrains of 'God is Good' and 'Great is Thy Faithfulness,' the truth was clearly evident for all of us were standing on it. Less than a year ago, the FGBMF had been asked to be present at the site's groundbreaking ceremony. Now, the nearly completed building had been erected without any major incidents and was now ready to join the others on the Kuala Lumpur skyline.

Dr Peter Tong spoke of how those who lived within God's will enjoyed His blessings and protection. The construction workers looked on, as he then prayed for God's continued outpouring of grace and mercy on the project and the Goei family. Guests were then invited to each place a spade of mixed cement onto a section of the last uncompleted wall.

We thank our God for Bro William Goei and his family who have made Jesus the foundation and the cornerstone of not only their building but also their very lives. May He richly reward them for the support and encouragement shown to the FGBMF.
