Matthew 7:16
says, "By their fruits ye shall know them". The hand of the Lord
was and has been upon the leaders whose testimonies and change of
character had impacted the lives of many other business men who in turn
became soul winners and ambassadors for Christ, among those were prominent
business men and some well known politicians.
Q: Would you say you have attained
utmost satisfaction when filled with the Holy Spirit?
To be satisfied is not the ultimate aim
in life but to be filled with all the fullness of God is God's will for
us. The prayer of the Apostle Paul for the Ephesian believers is:
"That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be
strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; that Christ may
dwell in your hearts by faith, that ye being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length
and depth, and height, and to know the love of Christ which passeth
knowledge, that ye might be filled with the fullness of God" (Eph.
3:16-19).
Q: You must have some fond memories of
FGBMF Malaysia. Would you kindly share some of them?
My fond memories of FGBMF Malaysia are of
those days just before its birth when I used to attend the special weekly
meetings at Dr Peter Tong's clinic at Jalan Ampang. I believe it was those
meetings that gave birth to the FGBMF. For the first time, I experienced
the awesome presence of the Lord that brought tears as I joined the
congregation in worshipping God. Their hearts melted in repentance before
God, followed by testimonies of healing and conversion. I remembered
singing some of the early charismatic songs which really touched my heart,
one of which is "Unto Thee O Lord, do I lift up my soul, unto Thee O
Lord do I lift up my hands, O my God, I trust in Thee, let me not be
ashamed and let not my enemies triumphed over me. Show me Thy ways, Thy
ways O Lord. Lead me in Thy paths, Thy paths." The worship was led by
Bro Michael Cheng (aka Prince Michael), a very godly and loveable brother
and the leading of the songs was very anointing and refreshing.
Q: What are your views on FGBMF's
progress in recent years?
The birth of FGBMF is a breakthrough in
the area of evangelism in the market place and if it is of the hand of
God, it shall last. Since its beginning there has been remarkable growth
in its membership - men of God from different churches with the vision of
winning souls for Christ and the extension of God's kingdom. Through the
unity of the Spirit and their interaction with believers from different
denominations, it has contributed to the growing unity of the churches in
Malaysia. It has grown by leaps and bounds and has led to the breaking of
walls between churches.
Q: What is it that you miss most on
leaving FGBMF to serve in the church?
The warm and exhilarating fellowship of
its founding members one of whom is Bro Devaraj - a dearly beloved brother
called home to be with the Lord. He was greatly used by the Lord in the
ministry of healing. He had been such an encouragement to me, a prayer
warrior and used by the Lord in soul-winning. Another is Bro Liau Eng
Siong now residing in Australia, a remarkable soul winner and a
"Barnabas" to me. Another is Dr Joy Seevaratnam, now stationed
in Penang, a very anointed man of God greatly used by God worldwide with a
prophetic gifting. I thank God for Dr. Peter Tong, the one who first
brought me to the baptism of the Holy Spirit. His most remarkable
testimony now is the miraculous healing of his cancer. God is still using
him as the leader of FGBMF.
Q: What words of advice would you give
to the current FGBMF members?
Let us keep on fixing our focus on Christ
the author and finisher of our faith, the one who has redeemed us and
called us to be His witnesses and fellow workers together with God in the
harvest field of reaping precious souls. Let us pray with all prayer and
supplication in the spirit for the equipping of the saints with the
cutting edge of evangelism and "looking for the blessed hope and the
glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ who gave Himself for us that
He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto Himself a peculiar
people, zealous of good work" (Titus 2:13-14). |
