It was on Saturday 12 August 2001 that I witnessed the raising of the dead. Praise the Lord!

In my church, there is a Mr. Ng, aged 74, who had heart disease and high blood pressure. On that day, Mr. Ng did not feel well and had asked his sons to take him to the church's special healing service in the evening because he wanted to be prayed over for healing.

Dr. Andy Lim of Ipoh was the preacher as he had been invited by my church leadership to conduct healing services over three days.

Mr. Ng sat in the front second row between his wife and younger son. His eldest son, Alfred Ng, was the worship leader that evening.

A commotion occurred when Mrs. Ng realized something was wrong and tried desperately to revive her husband who had probably died during the time the offering was being taken as he was still holding on to his offering. Alfred too tried to revive his father but the latter was already not breathing and had no pulse. He then shouted to Dr. Lim, who had just come onstage after being introduced.

The preacher looked worried. He was probably wondering whether the healing service was turning into a funeral service!

Mr. Ng was laid on the floor. Dr. Lim (a trained doctor) examined him and confirmed he was clinically dead. The doctor then placed his hand over Mr. Ng's heart and prayed, "In the Name of Jesus, I command you, spirit of death to come out. Dear Lord Jesus, have mercy on him, forgive him his sins and purify him from all unrighteousness and heal him in your mighty name!"

Nothing happened. The preacher became frantic and earnestly prayed again, "Lord Jesus, start his heart!"

Soon after that, Mr. Ng's heart slowly started to beat but he was still not breathing.

Dr. Lim continued to pray, "Lord Jesus, breathe your breath of life into him!"

To everybody's surprises, Mr. Ng started to breathe again, though slowly, in response to Dr. Lim's instruction. He was back alive!

Later, Mr. Ng was given a big glass of honey water to get over his state of shock. In reality, he had a heart attack and was raised from the dead by the mercy of Almighty God. God manifested His power and all those who witnessed the event gave Him the glory due to His name.

Epilogue: The following Monday, Mr. Ng was examined at the KL General Hospital and later at the Heart Institute. He was found healed and no longer in need of any surgery.
