As the year 2002, with the ANOINTED TO
SERVE theme, is fast coming to an end it would certainly be a time to
reflect on the activities of the FGB thus far and plan on the
direction the ministry intends to undertake, as the Holy Spirit leads,
for the year ahead.
The FGB, after 22 years in existence
in Malaysia, is facing what Charles Dickens described in A Tale of
Two Cities as "it is the best of times; it is the worse of
times." |
|
Some of our members, who were
casualties of the economic downturn and had been functioning under
difficult personal circumstances, were inadvertently rendered less
effective. Despite this setback, they are soldiering on nevertheless
in the spirit of 1 Corinthians 15:58.
This is their firm commitment to the Fellowship. It is, therefore, the
best of times to move in and take possession of the harvest in the
marketplace. To this end, the FGB as a Ministry will have to be more
effective and grow under this move of God and His Anointing.

Let
us fulfill the FGBMF Vision and Mission |
Since the year 2000, the FGB has
fervently been in revival mode. After the paradigm shift in 1999 and
coupled with the holding of the two (2) Asian Chinese Conventions,
there has been an excitement never seen for some time now with the
Ministry. The tangible result being the growth of the Chinese-speaking
chapters with many Chinese-speaking people in the marketplace who have
come into the saving knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ. The trend
continues on an accelerated pace, and subsequently propelling the
English-speaking chapters to flow with the Holy Spirit to impact the
marketplace as salt and light.
In the process, we are to strengthen
and streamline the smooth running of the Fellowship and encourage all
to fulfill the Vision and Mission of the Fellowship. In addition, we
are to unite on the strategy so that the Ministry can maximize the
fruits of the harvest and the spread of the Gospel.
As a start, the Ministry needs to
maintain its identity in the marketplace and that all operations be in
accordance with the chapter's manual which is now incorporated in the
FGB Member's Handbook, Malaysia.
The National Board is currently
identifying more committed members to take the Fellowship to greater
heights in growth and conversion in the new year. In this regard, the
National Board is thankful to the current contributing members who
possess the spirit of co-operation and the attitude of 'bondsmen'.
There is a dire need for workable ideas in the planning of the growth
of chapters and to guide committed leaders in their work with the FGB.
The National Board is thankful for the presence and commitment
displayed by members in the recent Annual Members Conference and would
like to see the flame of revival being spread throughout the regions
of the country. The bottom line for this revival and the raison
d'entre of the Fellowship is to bring men back to God in the market
place and beyond.
Let us then concertedly 'put our
hands on the plough and not look back' for we believe that the Lord is
building a people of power and a people of praise that will move
through Malaysia by His Spirit and glorify His Precious Name.
