Soon, the National Secretariat
is undertaking a complete organization audit of all the chapters in
their constitution, operation and effectiveness in the fulfillment of
the Vision and Mission
statements. The exercise will be completed with the publication of
the official list of chapters and office bearers beginning 2003. The
responsibility of the audit will rest with the Regional Directors on a
regional basis. To maintain an FGB identity, all chapters must be
properly constituted and office bearers have to be clear in their
commitment. The National Board will take note of all recommendations
from the region in compiling the new list. Arising from this exercise,
the office bearers will be re-appointed and Field Representatives will
be allocated their areas of responsibility and be accountable to the
Regional Director of the region who will, in turn, report to the
National Board.
An objective, transcending, in all
these activities within the Fellowship would be to bring about a
culture of the FGB and an FGB man's identity in the marketplace. With
the free distribution of the Flame and the Voice
to every member when these are published, it is hoped that members
will be able to identify and have a sense of belonging with the FGB
Ministry. Members are advised to renew their membership yearly. Each
Chapter will be given 50 copies of the Voice on publication from now
onwards and more copies of the Voice can be requested for during the
outreach meetings.
In the ongoing efforts to bring about
an FGB ethos among our members, the National Board has encouraged the
respective regions to hold regular specific talks on subjects
pertaining to the spiritual strengthening of members to be the salt
and light in this marketplace ministry. |
