Chapter Watch - KL TA One Chapter
Moving With The Mission

< Previous, > Next

TA One ChapterFrom Menara TA One chapter's beginnings in UBN Tower in 1991 and the subsequent merger with TA Properties chapter in 1996, the Lord has used the chapter to bless many lives during our lunch meetings. However, the size of the fellowship fluctuated as members moved on to new careers or opted for voluntary separation schemes (VSS).

Only a year ago, our chapter dwindled to just 8 members as the previous committee members moved on in their careers and/or ministry. Nevertheless, we persevered with the grace of God by meeting every Thursday amongst our committee members and monthly prayer meetings. We thank our group coordinator, Mr Chan Gak Keong for his generosity for the Lord's work and his encouragement.

With the grace of God, our numbers have now grown to between 30 and 40 members every week with many more people in special lunch meetings such as Christmas and Easter evangelistic events. We thank God that 6 individuals received salvation in our lunch fellowships since our Christmas party last year. Additionally, our chapter has the privilege of organising the ad-hoc FGBMF seminars for the Central Region. In March this year, we arranged the first combined fast and prayer retreat for the region at Glory Place in Mantin, Negeri Sembilan. During the retreat, many of us were refreshed as we set aside our personal time and agenda for the Lord.

While the growth of English-speaking chapters appears to have slowed down compared to the Chinese-speaking division, Philippians 3: 13-14 exhorts us to forget those things which are behind and press toward the goal for the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. We are called to pursue a close personal relationship with God to restore our commitment, passion, vision and cutting edge for the lost. All of us needs divine guidance and renewed strength that comes from our quiet time, prayer closets and corporate worship of the Lord. Besides the usual weekly meetings, committees should meet up regularly for fellowship and prayer to build relationships and encourage each other for the marathon race before us. As ministry simply overflows from our personal walk with God, let us move from glory to glory under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

To God be the glory for the work place ministry of the FGBMF.
