The teaching
sessions by Pastor Kou from Taiwan touched every one of the
delegates in a very special and meaningful manner. They were
challenged, motivated and convicted of the wonderful marketplace
ministry that they were called to serve. All the Malaysian
leaders received a fresh anointing from the teaching. Some had
their confidence and self-image boosted knowing that the Holy
Spirit would empower them to do the work He had called them for.
Others were convicted of the subtle increase in self-pride as
the Lord used and blessed them in their holy mission. Pastor
Mike Connell from New Zealand helped them to go forth boldly to
minister in the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit through
practical demonstrations.
The celebration took off on a high note at the opening banquet.
It was more of a fellowship gathering rather than evangelistic.
The Taiwanese brothers spared no efforts to make it a most grand
affair; march past, flag bearers, a laser-light show, blasts
from the shofars, a pyrotechnics display, all accompanied by an
anointed worship team and band of musicians. The opening was
announced by way of a flaming arrow from the back of the hall to
the top of the stage, accompanied by a mighty big bang. The
items put up by each country were not only entertaining but with
strong, motivational and inspiring Christian messages. The
planned testimonies, however, had to be left out of the
programme because the brothers were having such a great time,
fellowshipping and mixing around, spontaneously breaking out
into all the Happy Men songs. The atmosphere was a foretaste of
the great wedding feast they would have in heaven.
Bro Raymond Wong,
a famous Taiwanese movie personality sent off the delegates.
With tears in his eyes he thanked Malaysia once again,
remembering that he was saved at the First Asian Convention in
Kuala Lumpur. He pledged that he would attend all Malaysian
international conventions. He was blessed and the Malaysians in
turn were blessed.
