Chinese Work

In 2004, the Bukit Mertajam and Penang Chinese Chapters - both two pro-tem chapters, were launched in the Northern Region. The PJ Subang Jaya and Kuala Trengganu Chinese Chapters, both under the Central Region were birthed while the KL Taman Midah Chapter had temporised their activities. In the Southern and Sabah regions, two Chinese Chapters were launched in Batu Pahat and Sandakan respectively. There was no report on the progress in the Sarawak Chinese work. To date there are a total of 28 affiliated Chinese chapters and 2 pro-tem chapters.

Up to Sept 2004, the following banquets, Happiest Hour and Outreach meetings were held:

a. Northern Region - 4 meetings with 93 souls saved.
b. Central Region - 21 meetings with 614 souls saved
c. East Coast - 5 meetings with 317 souls saved
d. Southern Region - 43 meetings with 515 souls saved
e. Sabah Region - 5 meetings with 621 souls saved
f. Sarawak Region - 3 meetings with 10 souls saved

In total there were 81 gatherings comprising of Chinese banquets, Happiest Hour and Outreach meetings with 2,170 souls saved as at 30 September 2004

The dedicated and enthusiastic Chinese-speaking brothers had displayed a burning zest to show that they are 'men of valour' with their commitment to carry the gospel to the far ends of Malaysia. Their efforts have not been in vain as many souls have been added into the kingdom of God. The Chinese Happy Men continued with their burning zeal to testify, sing and dance and the following were their recent labour:

In the month of September, Chinese Outreach Meetings were held at Port Dickson, Subang Jaya, Puchong, Johor Baru and Batu Pahat with the brothers sharing personal testimonies. Hallelujah, a total of 111 people responded to the salvation call.

Seeds were planted although none came forward to accept Jesus at the Sep 21, Happiest Hour Meeting in Kluang organised by the Southern Region where brothers shared personal testimonies.

In October, Happiest Hour Meetings were held at Skudai and Batu Pahat organised by Southern Region with brothers sharing personal testimonies. Hallelujah, twenty five people received the gift of salvation.

In October, a Chinese Outreach Meeting was held at Kampar, Perak with Bro Tan Koon Swan as the speaker. What a joy to witness 13 people who accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. Another two Chinese Outreach meetings were held in Johor Baru with brothers sharing their personal testimonies. Truly, there was great rejoicing on earth and in heaven for the 63 people who surrendered their lives to Jesus.

A Chinese Evangelistic Banquet was held at Alor Setar on Saturday, 16 October organised by the Alor Setar Chapter with Rev John Ng as the speaker. A total of 21 people invited Jesus into their lives.

At the November Chinese Outreach meeting in Johor Baru, it was a delight to see 30 people surrender their lives to Jesus after hearing brothers share their personal testimonies

In November, Happiest Hour Meetings were held at Skudai, Kluang and Batu Pahat organised by Southern Region with brothers sharing their personal testimonies. Thirty five people came forward to accept Jesus.

A Chinese Evangelistic Banquet was held in Kangar, Perlis on Friday, 5 November organised by the Combined Northern Region Chapter and another in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, 14 November organised by the KL Seri Petaling Chinese Chapter. The brothers who shared personal testimonies in both banquets harvested a total of 53 souls. Praise the Lord!
