In our post-modern era, the greatest ‘hands-on’ experience of faith is to be found in the prayer closet. Faith is to prayer what the feather is to the arrow; without prayer it will not hit the mark. It is in prayer that people are communicating with God and drawing near to Him. Churches and fellowships that have discovered this ancient truth are increasingly moving prayer into their corporate experiences.

In Malaysia, our ‘Lighting Up Our Nation’ prayers initiative has taken an increased significance in the life of the Nation and Church. We are grateful for all the Lord is doing in our midst. May we ‘press in’ with our prayers till we see the Lord move in mighty revivals in our nation, our churches and fellowships.

While some FGBMF Happy Men go to the breadth and length of the country to convey the Good News, we who are at home ought to continue to intercede and pray. Many a time we do not carry everything to God in prayer for when we pray, God works! He listens to those who take time to pray.

We are strong when we are on our knees. For we are weakest when we feel strong enough to stand on our own. John Bunyan reminds us that the truths he knows best he had learned on his knees and that he does not know a thing well till it is burned into his heart by prayer. People may refuse our love or reject our message, but they are defenceless against our prayers. Let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back. We need to pray as though everything depended on God, and work as though everything depended on us.
