Amidst songs of
praise, testimonies and exhortations, the USJ 1 (Summit) Chapter
was launched on 17 AUGUST 2005. The celebration was a much-awaited
occasion and a breakthrough in the heavenly realms as the 59th FGB
chapter in Central Region was birthed.

For Bro Charlie Yeo,
the Field Representative, the yearn to plant a seed for the
germination of the eventual chapter must be accorded credit for it
was through his untiring efforts, fervent prayers and an undaunted
spirit that the day was sanctified by the Holy Spirit. In his
message, Bro Dr Stephen Goh, a member of the Governing Council
proclaimed that it was the vision of FGB that there exist a
chapter in every high-rise building. He went on to liken a chapter
to an altar. The men of the Old Testament set up an altar wherever
they went. It was an evangelic tool ‘to reach men everywhere for
the Lord Jesus Christ’. |

The National
President, Bro Lee Gee Goon in his address said that one’s
life was a sacrifice unto the Lord. He exhorted that the
chapter belonged to God and urged the chapter members to
continue the work to fulfil the vision given to Demos
Shakarian. The birth was a time of rejoicing and a commitment
to the Lord.
