Is
The FGBMF Ministry Still Relevant Today?
That appeared to be the
question in many people’s mind shortly after our Late National
President, Papa Tong, went home.
The
national board and
key members left for a two-day, fasting, praying and interceding time
at Frasers Hill. At the end of the first day God spoke that the vision
of the ministry of the FGBMF Malaysia was relevant and alive. There
should be a continued and intensified effort to set up more effective
chapters with a mission to bring in more Christians. Furthermore, the
members should be committed in this marketplace ministry. They should
intensify their endeavour to fulfil the vision given to Demos
Shakarian in 1952.
On the second day,
after they had fasted, prayed and interceded, the members
spontaneously and unanimously nominated Bro Lee Gee Koon to be the
National President. The vacuum left by the demise of Papa Tong was
filled. Praise the Lord!
Bro Loh Poh Seng added
that many years ago at the World Charismatic Conference in New
Orleans, Demos Shakarian was accorded the recognition that ‘the FGBM
are the threads through which all charismatic movements, all over the
world, are knitted together’. The founder received the accord on
behalf of the FGBMF worldwide.
Due to that recognition
there could be no doubt whatsoever that The FGBMF vision was alive
today and that it should be intensified because the vision was not
fulfilled yet. Amen! |
