After the demise of our beloved brother Abraham Tong, FGBMF Malaysia was questioned of its relevancy as a Marketplace Ministry in today’s context. Faced with this challenge, the FGBMF national leaders went up to Fraser’s Hill in January 2005 to seek an answer from the Lord. The Lord answered and reminded the leaders that the FGBMF Vision had yet to be fulfilled and a mandate was given to them to intensify the Vision that our founder Demos Shakarian saw in 1953. The Vision of “Millions and Millions of people standing shoulder to shoulder in every continent on earth, lifting up their heads and hands unto God with great joy, love and adoration”.

The Vision had already started to fruit towards the end of 20th Century. For those who are engaged in Transformation will know that millions and millions of people are being saved in the nations of South America, South Pacific Islands (Fiji, Vanuatu, etc), Asia (Korea, China, India, etc) and Africa (Kenya, Nigeria, etc). It is indeed time for FGBMF members to be awakened from their slumber and be part of this VISION that God is bringing to pass.

In 1953 when Demos Shakarian was faced with the prospect of closing down the FGBMFI ministry forever, he resorted to going down on his knees to pray until he heard from the Lord concerning the ministry. While he was deep in prayer, the Lord lifted him up between earth and heaven, and brought him a Vision of the continents of the world – both before and after Transformation. Before he saw the Vision, the Lord spoke and he heard these words spoken to him :-

“Demos, will you ever doubt My power?”

“I am the one, Demos, who alone can open doors. I am the One who removes the beam from unseeing eyes.”

Likewise, we must never doubt God’s power and authority in bringing the Vision given to Demos Shakarian in 1953 coming to pass!! And neither should we rely on our own strength, power and wisdom but by God’s Holy Spirit in fulfilling the Vision. The Lord spoke to Ezekiel: “For I am the Lord, I speak, and the word which I speak will come to pass;” (Ezekiel 12: 25)

Deeper prayers is not about praying for “Needs and Wants” but a commitment to pray for others and to engage in Spiritual Warfare by pulling down strongholds in every community, city, state and country. In doing so, every aspect of the human life in a nation will be transformed and come under the authority of a righteous government. Eventually, every nation and every continent will witness a mighty revival and a great outpouring of God’s love and salvation. Then, our FGBMFI Vision will be fulfilled as was given to our late Demos Shakarian in 1953.

Deeper prayers involve:

a)	Prayer and Supplication with fasting, weeping and mourning.
b)	Confession and Prayers for and on behalf of the sins of Communities, Cities and Nations.
c)	Personalised prayers such as those prayed by Daniel and Nehemiah for the Israelites and the city of Jerusalem :-

“I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both My father’s house and I have sinned.”

“We have sinned and committed iniquity.”

“We have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from your precepts and your judgements.”

“We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.”

When God’s people are serious in prayer, God will also be serious in answering their prayers. God has always answered the prayers of the righteous and those who are serious enough in wanting to see His Kingdom established on earth as it is in heaven.

All FGBMF leaders should get back to BASICS by getting down on their knees to pray :

UNTIL	we have the “Inquiry and Hearing” relationship with Father God like those of King David and the prophets of old.
UNTIL	we have Intimacy and connected with Christ in bearing fruit of love for God and others which will bring about forgiveness, healing, deliverance, signs, wonders and creative miracles.
UNTIL	we see FGBMFI Vision coming to pass in ushering the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

How do we get started? We need to commit and engage ourselves not only in normal prayers but in serious and deeper prayers.

The National Board Members are currently engaged in deeper prayer sessions. All FGBMF leaders Chapter Presidents and members should engage in systematic and disciplined deeper prayer sessions so as to receive a profound and life-changing effect in their lives as servants and stewards of the now relevant FGBMF ministry.
