The executive committee of the FGBMF
National Board in July to August
unanimously agreed to invite the governing council for guidance
for the theme of the fellowship for 2007.
The members of the Governing Council
then independently spent some time praying individually. In the
week before the National Board meeting, they spoke to one
another over the telephone concerning what the Lord had
impressed upon their hearts for the FGBMF to strive for as a
team in 2007. |

The first thing the Lord impressed
upon Bro Loh Poh Seng, was the fact that the harvest was
plentiful and the workers few. ‘Evangelisation’ was the keyword.

Bro Dr Stephen Goh concurred with
him that ‘to witness’ was the impression he received. The
national president said that the Lord had impressed upon him the
verse from Matt. 13:43 ‘Then the
righteous will shine forth like the sun in the heavens. He who
has ears, let him hear.’
Two words struck and they were
‘righteous’ and ‘witness’. The Lord then led Bro Loh Poh Seng to
Prov.11.30 ‘The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and he who wins souls is wise.’

The 3 pieces of the jigsaw began to
fall into place and the Lord led Bro Loh Poh Seng to
Daniel 12:3 ‘Those who are wise
will shine..., and those who lead many to righteousness,
like the stars for ever and ever.’ ‘Shine’ and ‘Witness’
were impressed upon him.
At the National Board meeting the
theme ‘Shine And Witness’ was unanimously adopted. |

The hall reverberated when members
in one accord expressed, “Let’s shine for the Lord next year!
Let’s witness for the Lord next year! Let’s Shine And Witness’
for the Lord next year!”
