HAPPY MEN BANQUET MELBOURNE
By Dr. Wong Hong Meng
|
On Friday, Bro Mark
Bennell, the President of the Waverley Chapter,
Melbourne, had only 31 participants for the
Malaysian style banquet to be held at the Chillipadi
Restaurant in Melbourne. The organisers were a
little concerned. However, on Monday night the place
was packed to capacity with many non-believers.
The Malaysian Happy Men
team, with a few Australian brothers joining in, did
their well-known singing and dancing presentation
along the aisles and between the seats of the
restaurant. The food was excellent but the highlight
of the evening was the testimonies from four
Malaysian brothers; Bros Lee Gee Koon, Tan Tek Seng,
Joshua Ong and Wong Hong Meng. Bro Rod Winter, a
member of the Australian FGBMFI Board and a regular
participant at Malaysian FGBMF functions, declared
that at least one new chapter would be formed in
Melbourne, either a Mandarin or bi-lingual one.
Praise the Lord for honouring the faith and blessing
the fruit of one’s labour.

Malaysian FGBMF team. |
The banquet followed the
Australian National Convention in Geelong which had ten
brothers from Malaysia with three accompanying wives. On the
very first night of the Convention the Malaysian team was
asked to do their Happy Man Presentation. The participants
were so caught up by it that by popular demand they had to
do a repeat performance the following night. The whole
congregation was able to follow their singing and dancing
with the English words projected on the big screen.
The Malaysians were greatly
blessed by the teaching of Bro Bill Subritzky, 81 years old
and still on fire for the Lord. The evening session was by
Bro Johnny Lee Clary, a former member of the KKK. A
breakfast meeting was held with the Mayor of Geelong at the
Geelong Football Club and another breakfast meeting at which
an Australian football legend shared a very touching
testimony on how the Lord saved him, restored his marriage
and his family and set him on the road to minister to
others. The Lord truly blessed all the members of the
Malaysian team who went on this trip primarily to encourage
and have fellowship with their Australian brothers.

HAPPY MEN SINGING CONCERT
REPORT
By Michael Chieng & Lee Kah Hong
|
Upon
the invitation of the Full Gospel Business Men’s
Fellowship (FGBMF), Pastor Lim Gee Tiong from
Blessed Fellowship Church, Kuching, together with
his entourage of 63 church members was in Peninsular
Malaysia between 26th May and 3rd June 2007. The
purpose of these evangelistic singing concerts is to
reach out to the Chinese speaking non-believers with
Pastor Lim’s testimonies and Chinese songs.
|
 |
Many lives
were touched by the Lord through the powerful testimonies
and songs which were clearly brought across. The crowd was
engrossed and when the altar calls were made, many
non-believers responded by coming to the front to give their
lives to Jesus. Pastor Lim led all of them through the
sinner’s prayers and also prayed for them. The nine concerts
were held at venues in Jinjang, Klang Glad Tidings, Klang
Grace AOG, Cheras, Kepala Batas, Pangkor Island, Pantai
Remis, Sitiawan and Ayer Tawar with a total attendance of
about 13,800 and an estimated 974 people saved.
Through this
event, we can see a lot of team work and sacrifices made by
the brothers in the
FGBMF chapters in terms of time and
finance. Even though there were no collections of love
offering in all the nine singing concerts, the Lord has
provided more than sufficient resources to make the entire
event a success. We are thankful to the Lord for using the FGBMF as a bridge to reach out to the lost souls to glorify
the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. All glory go to Him!
Amen! Hallelujah!

KU
KLUX KLAN LEADER IS NOW A SERVANT OF JESUS CHRIST
By Lee Wei Min
On
April 22, 2007, at the One Bangsar Seafood
Restaurant, the FGBMF
Central Region, organised a
banquet to hear from Bro. Johnny Lee Clary who left
a life of prejudice and bondage to live a life of
truth and freedom as promised by Jesus Christ.
Growing up in a small town in Oklahoma, Bro. Johnny
Lee grew up thinking that every one in the world was
white until he was five and saw for the first time a
coloured man. Excitedly he called out, “The
chocolate man, the chocolate man!” His father
corrected him and told him that the person was a
‘nigger’. The seed of hatred for coloured people was
sown and he went on to lead a ‘colourful’ life
causing misery and hardship to the coloured
population of America. He joined the dreaded ‘Ku
Klux Klan’ and was eventually elected the ‘Imperial
Wizard of the Knights of the KKK’. Ironically, it
was the love initiated and shown by a black pastor,
Rev. Wade Watts and his grandmother’s ardent prayer
that eventually saw Johnny Lee give his life to
Jesus Christ. Today, he travels around the globe to
proclaim the love of Jesus. Praise the Lord!
|

“I love the people of
God”.

‘An Invitation to know Jesus’. |
The Central
Region also organized a Chinese training session with Bro.
Johnny Lee Clary, who now is an internationally acclaimed
motivational speaker and evangelist at KL Tasik Selatan. The
training session was translated into Chinese and it was well
attended by all the Chinese chapter presidents, committee
members and group coordinators. |

NO
MORE OCCULT MEANS!
About five
hundred people gathered at the Sg. Long Golf &
Country Club, Chinese Restaurant on 21st April 2007
to praise and worship the living God. While tucking
into a delectable meal they also had the opportunity
to listen to the testimony of Bro. Anthony Wong, a
former practitioner of ‘feng shui’. |

Let’s praise the Lord. |
He witnessed how he had been
drawn into believing that all things that he desired could
be gotten through occult means until the Lord intervened and
delivered him from eternal damnation to eternal life in
Jesus. His life has been transformed and today he lives to
serve a loving, living God.
Later at the altar call,
about 100 guests gave their lives to Jesus. The dinner was
organized by the Cheras-Selatan FGBMF Chapter - a chapter
yet to be officially chartered but the members were already
so fervent for the Lord.

CHINA BMF LEADERS CONFERENCE
25-26 MAY 2007
A team of Malaysian FGBMF
brothers: Bro. PK Ang (Sungai Petani), Bro. Philip Goh (Subang
Jaya Chinese), Bro. Tee Piau Long (Seri Kembangan), Bro.
David Chiang & Bro. Jackie Tan (Tasik Selatan), Bro. Tan Tek
Seng and his wife, Sis. Tinkie (Taman Connaught) attended
the 2nd China BMF Leadership Conference held at a resort
hotel in Hangzhou from May 25-26.
There were
more than 150 participants from nine major cities of China,
Taiwan, Canada, USA and Malaysia. This was the 2nd national
conference organised by FGBMFI HK and the speakers were Bro.
Hugo Chan (HK) who shared on Charisma; Bro. Tan Tek Seng
(Malaysia) on Commitment and Bro. Samuel Yuen (HK) on
Character.
Hours before
the commencement of the conference, it was told that Bro.
Hugo Chan was at a very important meeting to iron out some
problems.
The
authorities had not given them the green light to host the
conference. A few brothers got together to pray. After some
hours Bro. Hugo Chan emerged from the room with a reversed
decision. It was announced that a-two-half day session was
possible. Praise the Lord! Prayers do work!
The group
left Hangzhou for Shanghai on May 27. Bro. Tan Tek Seng was
invited to share to about 50 business owners in a restaurant
in Shanghai that evening. They had a wonderful time
ministering and enjoying the fellowship with the Christian
business people in China. |
