By
popular demand, the FGBMF jointly with
Bible College of Malaysia (BCM)
organized the Financial Freedom Seminar
from 5th May till 14th July 2007. The
seminar was capably facilitated by Dr
Wong Hong Meng, the FGBMF National
Secretary on 10 Saturday afternoon
sessions. 103 participants registered
with a good turnout of an average of 77%
attendance. 64 participants who recorded
a minimum of 80% attendance, received
Financial Freedom Seminar 5 May 2007 to
14 July 2007 their certificates. BCM
provided the incentive of 4 credit
points for participants who opted to
join the BCM programme. Participants
left the seminar with a better
understanding of the biblical principles
of finances and the proper management of
their money. For most participants, the
common comments were “they wish they
knew about this earlier”. Special thanks
to BCM pastors and staff and the Local
Representative of the Institute in Basic
Life Principles (IBLP), Bro Sreedhar
Subramaniam for their wonderful support
in making this seminar a resounding
success. With this seminar concluded,
the FGBMF and BCM look forward to
organize another seminar starting from 3
May 2008.

The Full Gospel Business Men’s
Fellowship (FGBMB) and the Friends of
BCM Fellowship (FBCMF) jointly organized
a 10-week Financial Freedom Seminar held
at the Bible College of Malaysia (BCM)
premises spanning from 5 May 2007 to 14
July with the exception of 7 July 2007.
It was centered on a series of 20 life
transforming videobased lessons from the
Institute in Basic Life Principles
presented by Jim Sammons and facilitated
by none other than the inimitables Dr
Wong Hong Meng who is also the FGBMF
National Secretary.
The Seminar was very well received with
103 participants, out of which 27
participants opted to take it as a four
credit-hour module with BCM. Each week’s
seminar comprising of two video lessons
was preceded by a one hour tutorial
where Dr Wong provided additional
valuable lessons in managing one’s
finances and localizing some of the
previous week’s teaching into the
Malaysian context. Some of the topics
covered were “Knowing God’s four
purposes for money,” “ Choose to serve
God rather than money.” “Purpose to keep
out of debt,” “Never lend to friends or
co-sign for a loan,” “ Avoid business
partnerships and listen to the caution
of your wife.” At the end of each second
video lesson, Dr Wong took questions
from the floor and clarified any issues
that the participants might have
regarding the lessons.
