The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” There he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him, and called on the name of the name of the Lord.

The Lord spoke, in somewhat similar fashion, to Brother Charlie Yeo, the Group Coordinator of FGBMF Central Region, of a place in USJ 21 where the people could call on the name of the Lord and have an opportunity and gather a small group of businessmen from different denomination to meet, pray, worship and testify to the greatness of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. They caught the vision given to Demos Shakarian (founder) in 1952 and henceforth met and prayed diligently and unceasingly for 35 weeks before the fruition of the chapter on 16th March 2009.

The launching of the FGBMF Chapter was witnessed by about 40 people. The National President, Brother Tan Tek Seng, inaugurated the charter of the chapter. He prayed and blessed the new chapter president and his committee members to carry out the Great Commission in that vicinity.

Dr Wong Hong Meng, the National Director of Training and Leadership Development, gave an inspiring exhortation for the people of the Lord to be vigilant to the vision and mission of the FGBMF.

The occasion culminated with a ceremony where the president and his men pledged their commitment to serve with the fear of the Lord in their hearts.
