In
my maiden message in January, I shared on “Developing Character,
Impacting the Nation”. When Jesus came to my life 16 years ago,
I have known His salvation grace upon me. I am spirit filled and
balanced by His Word and surrendered to the Lordship of Christ.
I also understand my commitment as a servant of the living God
the moment I was called to lead FGBMF Malaysia. I have always
said that this is a high calling to Godliness, Blamelessness,
Steadfastness and constant pursue of moral excellence. My
decision to embark on this journey and devoting my best years
trusting and serving the Lord in the marketplace may sound
foolish to many in the secular world.
My motivation is always to serve and not to be served. Of course
all of us are committed to serve the Lord. But more is needed.
We must also be committed to serving each other and not just
directing. We must always maintain a servant’s heart in all that
we do, and work to be a blessing to all those around us. In
Philippians 2:1-4, Apostle Paul
wrote one of the most profound statements about the heart of a
servant: “If you have any encouragement from being united with
Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the
Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make My joy
complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one
in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or
vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than
yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own
interests, but also to the interests of others.”
I have visited more than 50 chapters (both English and Chinese)
since January 2009 to identify potential leaders who are living
their lives according to the Word of God, having a loving care
for people, promoting the growth of FGBMF ministry, having zeal
and passion to win souls and are role models in their home, work
and community, In short, how influential are these potential
FGBMF leaders able to touch others with the genuineness of a
Christ-controlled life.
FGBMF’s vision and
mission statements are based upon
a series of prophetic messages given to our founder Demos
Shakarian 57 years ago. Demos in his book “A new wave of
Revival- The Vision Intensified” wrote that God’s vision will
intensify in an increasingly powerful wave of His glory! I
believe this is the kairos moment.
Let us prepare our hearts of obedience to this high calling as
marketplace leaders by coming out of the saltshaker if we are
going to season the marketplace with godliness. We must be
willing to take the risks of making contact with captains of
industry. Very often people do not care how much you know until
they know how much you care for them. Jesus did not just spend
time with the disciples. He loved them unconditionally. Apostle
Paul endured so many physical and emotional sufferings to bring
the gospel to the gentiles because of his conviction that the
good news was “ the power of God to salvation for everyone who
believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek” -
Romans 1:16.
I would like to encourage my fellow servants in this fellowship
by saying that God is for us, God is with us. He is the Alpha
and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, who is and was and who
is to come..Revelation 1:8. He is
able to supply every need from His inexhaustible resources. Are
you willing to serve Him wholeheartedly to experience this new
wave of revival in the marketplace through FGBMF Malaysia?
May His shalom peace and joy be with you!
