A sumptuous dinner was organized on 5 February 2009 to honor the services of Mr Lee Gee Koon (ex-National President) and Mr Sim York Soo (ex-Editor of Voice and Flame). Twenty seven persons came for the dinner at the Overseas Restaurant at the Jaya One Complex in Petaling Jaya.

The Master of Ceremony, Dr Stephen Goh said that Mr. Lee is a humble man and had contributed greatly to the FGBMF ministry not only in the giving of his time, effort and finance but was able to hold the ship together even in the midst of storms. He will now chair the Governing Council.

Dr Goh also acknowledged the contributions of Mr Sim York Soo who had produced over twenty issues of the Voice and Flame over a period of about twelve years. He would be relocating to Taiping where he intends to set up a library for a church.

Gifts and plagues were presented to Mr Lee and Mr Sim. Prayers were then made for the Lord to continue to guide them and prosper them in their ministries.

Earlier, Dr Goh also acknowledged the contributions of Dr Wong Hong Meng (ex-National Secretary), Miss Amy Beh, our Executive Secretary and Mr Wong Tong Seng, our website developer.
